Neck & Back injuries
Most common neck and back conditions vary depending on the specific problem and what part of the spine is affected. More than 85% causes of those injuries are considered “non-specific” or “mechanical”.

In other words, the pain you are feeling is coming from the function of your spine and the supportive anatomy around your spine, such as muscles, ligaments, joints, disc, and nerves. These structures become irritated most commonly due to prolonged postural irritation. If you spend many hours or perform repetitive tasks the pain is inevitable due to the forces involved.

Symptoms may include:
-
Muscle tightness or stiffness
-
Muscle spasms
-
Decreased ability to move freely
-
Numbness, tingling, weakness
-
Loss of feeling (sensation) in your arms, hands, legs, or feet
Headaches
Most of the headache happens when the blood vessels and/or nerves entering to your skull are irritated. The onset of headaches can have many contributing factors such as stress, nutritional choices, and sleep habits. These factor can cause Vertebral Subluxation -- the condition that affect the movement of your spine and ultimately the surrounding nerves which travel back into your skull.
Types of headaches:
-
Cervicogenic: mostly caused by structures in your neck
-
Tension headaches: Constant pressure, like head is being squeeze in a vice.
-
Migrame: Severe headaches with a variety of nervous system symptoms
-
Cluster: Recurring one-site attacks of severe pain behind the eye or temple.
-
Rebound: Pounding headaches from caffein or medication withdrawal
-
Sinus: pain and pressure around the sinuscavitie in face.
Extremities injury
Chiropractic care is not only for spinal cases, treatments are effective for extremity complaints to help reduce pain and improve joint function. Extremity adjustments are applied to improve the function of the joints, and soft tissue therapies are used to reduce tension in the muscles, tendons, and connective tissue that surround the specific joints that are causing pain or limitations. Joint sprains, muscle strains, and overuse injuries of the extremities can all be managed with chiropractic care.
Disc injuries
Spinal discs serve as cushions between the vertebrae of your spine. A spinal disc’s structure is a outer layer of fibrocartilage, made up of inner layer of a jelly-like substance, often compared with a "jelly donut". When problems occur, they often take the form of herniation and/or bulging. Problems arise if portion of the disc irritates or presses on nerve tissue.
Some types of Disc diseases:
-
Disc bulge -- the circumference of disc extends beyond the vertebral bodies
-
Disc Herniation -- when the fibrous outer portion of the disc ruptures or tears, and the jelly-like core squeezes out.
-
Disc desiccation -- is common in aging. It is when the inner part of the disc shrinks and is replaced with fibrotic tissue, reducing its functionality, supporting properties and height of the disc.
Nerve injuries
A pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues, such as bones, cartilage, disc, muscles or tendons. The pain and pressure may be the result of repetitive motions, inflammation, disc damage and/or subluxations. Or it may happen from holding your body in one position for long periods, such as keeping elbows bent while sleeping. Nerve related pain may become worse with certain activities like sitting or coughing.

This pressure can cause:
-
Numbness or decreased sensation in the area supplied by the nerve
-
Sharp, aching or burning pain, which may radiate outward
-
Tingling, pins and needles sensations (paresthesia)
-
Muscle weakness in the affected area
-
Frequent feeling that a foot or hand has "fallen asleep"

Rib Dysfunction
Rib dysfunction occurs when there is a misalignment of a rib/s on the thorax. This results in mechanical dysfunction, restriction, dislodgement or inflammation between your ribs and their attachment sites.
A rib dysfunction commonly presents as:
-
Deep, dull, achy pain just next to the spine
-
Pain or tenderness near the front of your chest
-
Pain that fluctuates with rotation of your torso or becomes sharp and stabbing with deep breath, coughing, or laughing.
-
Suddenly improvement when pressure is applied to the affected rib, even during simple examination.
